A couple of weeks ago my own daughter Boe turned 1 and I actually can’t believe where the time has gone! I feel like the past year has gone at the speed of lightening and I can’t actually remember her getting this big. It seems like only yesterday I was in the hospital giving birth and here I am now posting photos from her first birthday photo shoot! Crazy!!

Of course being my own daughter I had to go mad and come up with a big set for her cake smash photo shoot. Normally I do a coloured backdrop with bunting and balloons, but for Boe I wanted something with the wow factor. She’s not overly girlie so I decided to go for a circus themed shoot 🙂

My daughter very much loves her food and therefore it was not hard at all to get her to go for the cake. Smiles on the other hand were hard work. With me singing baby shark and my husband jumping around like a clown, she pretty much kept looking at us like ‘come on guys, please just let me eat.” We got there in the end 🙂 I would love to do more themed smashes like this one, so please get in touch.

The day before Boe’s actual birthday (the day we did the smash), I also took some more first birthday photos on a different drop. This one is now available for anyone who doesn’t want to do a cake smash but would like to celebrate.
