Isla Grace

I recently had the pleasure of meeting baby Isla in person. We had kind of met before when her mummy came in for a maternity photo shoot.

Isla really made me work for it that day. Not a typical sleeping baby, she decided she well and truly wanted to be awake to see what was going on. Rather than spending lots and lots of time trying to get a non sleepy baby to fall asleep, I decide I would attempt some awake shots. Now this might sound easy. Just snap the camera at the awake baby right? Wrong. In my opinion if baby is going to have their eyes open they must be looking in a certain direction for the photos to come out good. I mean no one wants photos of their little one looking down and we can’t force their eyes to look up.

I’m so glad she did stay wide eyed that day,  because we got some absolutely beautiful photos and then of course managed to get some sleepy shots too.
