Kelly Brown Newborn London Workshop – Newborn, Baby, Family Photography
Wow! Where do I even start with this blog post? ….
I have just come back from the most amazing newborn baby photography workshop in London with the very inspiring Kelly Brown of Little Pieces Photography. Kelly is one of the best newborn photographers in the entire world and I was so honored to be apart of such a course. The course was sold out in just 7 minutes and was super worth staying up late to get a spot! Kelly has been one of my favorite photographers for such a long time so I knew I just had to have a space.
On day one of the workshop we went through baby set ups, posing, lighting and most importantly baby safety! Safety will always be the number one most important factor when it comes to newborn photography and you should always make sure when booking your newborn photo shoot that you are going to a photographer who has had the correct training. It is so scary to see people picking up a camera and attempting to take newborn photos without any real knowledge of the baby’s safety or without attending any formal training. Please make sure you check what training your local photographer has done 🙂
Day 2 was focusing on the business side to Newborn Photography and also lots of fab editing. Kelly also shared a video which included lots of her personal projects. It was so inspiring to see her creative photos of her family and photos that she hasn’t shared with the world.
I would give the workshop 10/10 and I really do hope to do another one with Kelly in The future. Not only did I meet Kelly herself, but also Garrett Hollis who is a director of The Baby Summit, Russ Jackson and lots of new friends from all walks of life. I never realised how much I enjoy socialising with people I have never met.
