We’re Klash Photography, a full-service photographic company offering all types of photography for private individuals.
How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you with your consent when you use our website or in person, for example, when you contact us about products and services or if you register to receive our newsletters.
What information is collected?
We collect a variety of information before, during and after you book with Klash Photography and use any of our services. This includes:
• Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) placing an order with us.
• Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) using our services.
• Names (and in some cases ages and gender) of all participants of a photo shoot.
• Details and notes taken throughout a photo session or service provided to help us remember conversations during and details of your session.
If you E-Mail us or send us messages via social media, these messages are stored within our email system or social media accounts. These messages are stored for as long as practicable to allow us to provide you with better future services. If you are booking a photo shoot through social media we may ask for information such as telephone numbers and who will take part in the photo shoot. This information will be stored via the social media platform in which provided.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
- send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include quotations, updates on our activities, promotions of our company’s goods and services,
- process orders that you have submitted;
- process information requests that you have submitted,
- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us,
- seek your views or comments on the services we provide,
- notify you of changes to our services,
- We may analyse your personal information to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with information relevant to you.
- We may use images taken at your photo shoot to promote the business whether it be on the website, social media, paper advertisements etc. If you do not wish for your images to be used you have the right to opt out.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example tax records). We will hold your personal information on our systems only for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

– The majority of our data is collected directly from you. Whether you fill out a form for us online, in person or tell us face to face, via the telephone, via e-mail or message.
– In some cases, data may be given to us by a third party. This includes if somebody purchases a voucher for you – they will usually give us your name and details to allow us to process their order, and provide our service to you.

– Most of the data we collect is solely for the purpose of providing you with a service you have ordered, or had ordered for you.
– Some of the data we collect is to help provide you with a better customer service experience
– We are required by law to collect and store certain information relating to any order you place with us.

– Most data we collect is stored indefinitely. This is too allow us to provide a better service to you as a customer in the event that you contact us again in the future.
– We are legally obliged to store some data for a minimum amount of time, for example sale order records, payment records etc.
– Photos are stored for as long as necessary. You have the right to ask that your images are cleared at any point.
Who has access to your information?
We take your privacy very seriously. We do not sell your data to third party organisations. There are a few scenarios where some of your data may be shared with third parties to allow us to provide our services to you. These include:
• Delivery and Postage Service Providers to allow us to send you documentation and orders you have placed. (Information shared includes Name, Address and in some case e-mail address / mobile number)
• Manufacturers (our printing labs) if we are sending an order directly to you from a lab. (Information shared includes Name, Address and in some case e-mail address / mobile number)
• Law Enforcement and Legal Requirements – we will provide data to law enforcement agencies if issued with a court order to do so.
How we store your information
Any information given may be stored by Klash Photography electronically and in paper form for business and marketing purposes. You have the right to ask for your information to be discarded at any time. Images are stored on a password protected laptop and then transferred on to a hard drive. You can ask for this images to be deleted at any time.
Your choices
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our work or our products and services, then you can unsubscribe from our communications using the link at the bottom of all our marketing emails at any time.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted. How you can access and update your information
The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information Klash Photography hold about you (we may charge £10 for information requests to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you).
